Tropix is a tropical fusion band based in Gainesville, Florida. The band has its roots in the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico, and performs music from all over Latin America and Spain, along with American standards. From merengue and salsa, bachata and cumbia, to disco and ballads, crossover bilingual songs and everything in between, Tropix entertains you with a variety of Latin sounds. Tropix includes band leader Gilberto de Paz (piano/vocals/guitar), Waldemar Cabrera (vocals/guitar/percussion), Laura de Paz Cabrera (vocals), Bruni Gonzales de Paz (vocals/percussion), Jose Joe Rivera Cepeda (timbales/percussion/trumpet/back vocals) and Sebastion de Paz (congas/bass/percussion).
